FROM: ROGERK. DAVIS
SUBJECT: CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE
DATE: NOVEMBER 17, 2009
I want to start by thanking you for sending me the survey and allowing me the opportunity of answering
your questions but I believe that some of the questions deserve more than just a yes or no answer. I
would like to explain my answers more fully as follows:
ECONOMIC POLICY, JOBS, TAX AND BUDGET POLICY
Enactment of my Social Security and Health Care plans would help our economy create jobs by replacing
those who retire and reduce the private sector cost of their benefit package for their employees. We
should not be giving tax credits to companies for moving their jobs out of this country and our
government should have a balanced budget every year except in times of an emergency and it is
beneficial to the American people not to do so.
ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
I. Bio-Fuels: we need to get this moving so that we may reduce our dependence on foreign oil, if we
only import 25% of our oil going to a 40% blend would do this. And do not let them tell you that this
would take the food off your tables and raise prices on food; we have thousands of acres in what is
called "set-aside" which means the farmers get paid not to plant them. We can start planting the "set aside"
ground and have plenty for Bio- Fuels.
2. Start treating our timber as a renewable crop and manage it as such.
3. Look into ways of producing energy and start a program in doing just that but make sure it is
environmentally and financially sound.
EDUCATION
If the state of Illinois qualifies for the Race to the Top program and it is in our best interest to participate
in it then we should apply for it.
To improve our public education system in America I would bring back the "three Rs": Reading, writing
and arithmetic. Make sure the student knows how to complete their assignments with and without the
use of computers. Make sure the child learns the subject and that we do whatever it takes so the child
can learn the subject and we do not pass the child on just because they had a good attendance record or
we do not want to leave a child behind. I would give all teachers a proficiency exam on the subjects that
they are teaching their students; the test will be the same one as their students would have to take to
make sure that teacher knows the subject they are teaching their students. All students must know
that, yes, we will give them a free education but they must also know that they must earn it by
maintaining a passing grade and must conform to attendance requirements and behavior standards.
Also in order for a student to pass high school they must pass a GED test; the GED exam is set on a 10th
grade level. And we as parents must let our children know that we will be just as proud of them if they
choose a vocational education over an academic education. I also support paying the way for a student
to go to a vocational school or college as long as they qualify to go and maintain an average grade and a
good attendance record.
I do not support performance pay for teachers: there are too many ways to cheat on this type of
system, i.e.: by just teaching the students the test or by the teacher being a good friend of the
administrator.
The use of Charter schools my help in overcrowding conditions in public schools and there are good
charter schools and also bad ones just like in public schools system. If the student's parents want to send their child to a Charter school they should have that right to do so
.
HEALTH CARE
First let me say that my plan is not government ran or paid for by us, the TAXPAYER, nor Corporate
America. IT IS PAID FOR BYTHE ONES WHO USE IT. Secondly we cannot let the insurance companies
decide who gets coverage, what type of services they get and who lives and who dies. Nor can we let
our governments do the same. And we cannot let the high cost of Health Care bankrupt our families and
our Government.
1. Everyone pays an X amount of dollars a week to be covered per person.
2. We change the tort laws so Health Care Professionals do not face frivolous law suits.
3. All Health Care Professionals will have a federal license only so that all disciplinary actions an can be
handled swiftly and so that person can't lose their license in one state and go practice in another her
state.
4. All of your medical needs will be covered Health, Dental, Glasses, Chiropractic and Pharmaceuticals.
5. All that is collected for Health Care program stays in this program it can be invested but not
borrowed by the federal government for anything such as has been done to the Social Security program.
6. Price control of services fees and medicine.
7. The money is collected by pay roll deduction or paid at your bank.
SOCIAL SECURITY
Again let me say that my plan is not government ran or paid for by us the TAXPAYER or corporate
America. IT IS PAID FOR BYTHE ONES WHO USEIT.
1. Every one puts $25.00 dollars a week into an account that is theirs and it pays for a bond that
matures every seven years and rolls over to the next amount like so:
At the end of 7 years $50.00
At the end of 14 years $100
At the end of 21 years $200
At the end of 28 years $400
At the end of 35 years $800
And at the end of 42 years $1,600 weekly is what you get.
2. You will always pay in $25.00 weekly.
3. When you pass on the money in your account goes to your beneficiary.
4. This money will collect by payroll deduction or at your bank.
Everyone age 50 or over at this time should be retired with $800 a week in income. At time of their
passing, if they have lived long enough to pay back out of their account what money that they have
received then their beneficiary should receive that money; also for burial expenses if there is enough
money in their account that goes to their beneficiary that covers there burial expenses say $15,000, if
not they will receive a death benefit of $15,000.
EVERYONE WILL PARTICIPATEIN THIS PROGRAM AND BECOVEREDBY IT - THEREWILL BENO OTHER
PROGRAM FORGOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.
GOVERNMENT REFORM
Let me start by saying that we should take the "FOR SALE" signs down from the doors of our elected and
appointed officials.
1. No lobbying of any elected or appointed official by any lobbying group or special interest groups.
2. Campaign funds can only come from individuals or from an anonymous contributions pool.
3. Elected or appointed officials cannot take any type of monies from special interest groups or lobbying
groups as in donations of travel or junkets.
4. No immediate family member of an elected or appointed official may work for a special interest
group or lobbying firm.
5. Every elected or appointed official will be subject to a re-call vote.
6. Term limits.
7. All judges will be chosen by a lottery system and have term limits for length of service.
SOCIALAND Civil RIGHTS
Roe V. Wade: personally, I have a problem about this issue when people say, "God says." God also gave
us a choice to be a saint or sinner and he gave us free will. Who are we to pass laws in the name of God,
to take that God given right from you? Are we better or smarter than GOD? For those who say that the
U.S. Constitution says separation of church and state; that's true but to me there are two parts to this:
1. Our government should not choose our religious practices, sect or beliefs.
2. We as individual citizens should not mix our religious beliefs with our political beliefs because
we are not all of the same religion nor do all religions have the same beliefs.
If elected to the U.S House of Representatives I must, regardless of my personal opinions and beliefs,
uphold the U.S. Constitution. Also I would support a nationwide vote on this issue to see If the people
want a Constitutional Amendment on this issue.
Affirmative action to me is nothing more than government sanctioned discrimination of one group of
citizens over another group of citizens and only causes distrust and hatred between all citizens. Two
wrongs do not make a right. We have been told that all men are created equal and if we hold this to be
true than why is there affirmative action?
IMMIGRATION RIGHTS
Certain people want to tell you that what is wrong with this country is caused by illegal immigrants; that
is because they do not know what is wrong with this country or how to sell you on their solutions to fix
the problem. We must not forget that America is a nation of immigrants and that all of our forefathers
have immigrated to this nation from many other countries seeking their fortune and freedom. I ask you
to put yourself in their shoes. If you had no job and your family was starving or one of your family
members needed life saving medical attention and all you had to do was cross a boarder wouldn't you
do it? I would. What we need to do is fix our immigration department so that people are properly
screened and helped to get to this country without risking their life or the lives of their loved ones.
I would like to finish by leaving you with the following thoughts and reasons why I am running for office.
I do not have all the answers to fix this problem but I do believe that I have a good starting point and with help of other people we can fix this problem. I believe it is time to bring common sense back to our
government, When you ask our leaders what is wrong with this country they start by bringing up
religion and patriotism, or party politics but they do not tell you what they believe is wrong with this
country and how to fix it. And they seem to have no hopes and dreams for this country and the people
in it. We need someone who knows that their suggestions to fix a problem might be a good starting
point but it will take the help of all the people to fix the problem.
Again I want to thank you and give you my e-mail addressitisrogerkdavis2010@gmail.comlalso have a
web site up and running (it still needs fine tuning and should be done by the end of the week). The
address is www.rogerkdavis.com. I will give you my phone number 217-506-0850 but this is only for
your use and not to be published. I will be getting a new number for my campaign office and I will be
1. Gun control advocates claim that semi-automatic firearms with certain cosmetic features are so called "assault weapons." However, all semi-automatic firearms are functionally the same (one round fired per one pull of the trigger.)Would you oppose any legislation that reauthorizes the 1994 law, which sunset in 2004 that banned many types of semi-automatic firearms (commonly referred to as “assault weapons”? -
Yes (X) No ( )
2. The Supreme Court ruled in Heller (2008) that: "The Second Amendment guarantees an
Individual’s right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia," and that the District of Columbia's ban on operable firearms in the home violated that right. Gun owners who are otherwise carrying a firearm legally can be subject to a five year prison sentence simply for driving past a school.
Do you support legislation to repeal the 1996 gun free school zones act?
Yes (X) No ( )
5. Though there is no technical definition of a "high capacity" magazine (firearm ammunition feeding device), gun control proponents designate some magazines as "high capacity" based on an arbitrarily chosen number of rounds a magazine can hold.
Would you oppose legislation banning the manufacture, sale or possession of large-capacity magazines?
Yes (X) No ( )
If NO, what size magazine would you support banning?
6. Gun control advocates are seeking to prohibit 18-20 year-olds from possessing firearms, which would treat young adults as if they have no Second Amendment rights even though they are old enough to serve in the armed forces and vote.
Would you oppose legislation that would take away the right of 18-20 year-olds to possess a firearm?
Yes (X) No ( )
7. Gun control advocates are seeking to ban .50 caliber firearms based only on the bore size, although such firearms are only a mere fraction of an inch larger than many common hunting rifles.
Would you oppose a ban on .50 caliber firearms?
Yes (X) No ( )
8. The Justice Department reported in 1989 that, "Any system that requires a criminal history record check prior to the purchase of a firearm creates the potential for the automated tracking of individuals who seek to purchase a firearm." This means that any background check - whether aninstant check" or otherwise - can result in a registration list of gun owners.
Would you support a repeal of the 1993 Brady instant check?
Yes (X) No ( )

Yes (X) No ( )
If yes, would you introduce-or cosponsor legislation repealing this Act?

11. Legislation in Congress would allow a person who can legally carry a concealed firearm in his or her home state to also have the right to carry in other states. Yes (X) No ( )
15. In 2007, the Congress passed the "Veterans Disarmament Act" without a vote in either house.
This legislation disarms hundreds of thousands of military veterans who are suffering from ailments that frequently follow combat stress. The gun ban, therefore, denies veterans and other Americans their Second Amendment rights not on the basis of the conviction of a crime, but rather on the basis of a doctor's opinion.
Would you support legislation repealing this gun ban?
Yes (X) No ( )
If yes, would you introduce or cosponsor legislation repealing this Act?
Introduce (X) Cosponsor ( ) neither ( )

Would you support legislation to protect the free speech rights of organizations such as GOA?
Yes (X) No ( )
MY VIEWS ON GUN CONTROL AND ONES RIGHT TO BARE ARMS
I read nothing in the U. S. Constitution that prohibits anyone from owning a firearm even if you have a misdemeanor or felony record. And we have let the courts get by with the taking of firearms by people with misdemeanors or felony’s all in the name of crime prevention it has not worked now they want all the guns. We cannot let this happen. Crime prevention has nothing to do with gun control the economy has more to do with crime prevention than gun control when times are good the crime rate does go down but when times are hard the crime rate goes up.
Criminals do not get guns legally now this is what are police departments and government agencies should crack down on not law abiding citizen’s rights to own firearms
Nor should you be told how to keep them stored in their own homes our government cannot by passing laws become our conscience and tell us how to live our lives. One should have enough common sense to keep their firearms locked up and out of the reach of children.
With that being said I see nothing wrong with our government doing ballistics test and stamping of ammunition and issuing you a firearm ID so when you buy a firearm or ammunition it can be registered to you. It dose let the government know if your firearm or ammunition is used in the commission of a crime but it also helps them recover you firearm if stolen from you.

As far as the Federal Department of Education I do support education and want to I improve our public education system in America I would bring back the "three Rs": Reading, writing and arithmetic. As far as Social Security and Federal government pensions I support my program and hope you do to.
My plan is not paid for by the Government. It is paid by those you need to use it. My plan outlines as follows:
Every one puts $25.00 dollars a week into an account that is theirs and it pays for a bond that
Matures every seven years and rolls over to the next amount. This goes as follows:
At the end of 7 years $50.00

When you pass on the money in your account goes to your beneficiary.
This money will be collect by payroll deduction or at your bank.
Again I feel that I have a good starting point to it and with the people’s help we can resolve this problem.
As far as eliminating the Federal Income tax I would have to see what program replaces it to let you know how I would vote.

I want to start by thanking you for sending me the survey and allowing me the opportunity of answering
your questions but I believe that some of the questions deserve more than just a yes or no answer. I
would like to explain my answers more fully as follows
The Cap and Trade bill it doesn’t help resolve the environmental issues that it is intended to do you cannot let one that pollutes the environment buy credits from one that doesn’t pollute this doesn’t solve the problem.
Hate crimes are not only restricted to ones race anymore and each case needs to be looked into.
I do not believe in discrimination of anyone because of their race, sexual preference or religious believe.
To me the government is the only one that can allow same sex marriages I believe it goes against most if not all religious teachings. There is nothing in the U. S. Constitution banning same sex marriages and I believe GOD gave us the right to chose to be a saint or sinner and what man has the right to take that away from us all in the name of GOD?
I have a Health Care plan that I think is better than what has passed the house and is in the senate right now
My plan is a national insurance coverage program paid for by the ones who use it. We cannot let the insurance companies decide who gets coverage, what type of services they get and who lives and who dies. Nor can we let our government do the same. And we cannot let the high cost of Healthcare bankrupt our families and our Government. Here are the highlights of my plan:
1. Everyone pays “x” amount of dollars a week to be covered per person.
2. We change the tort laws so Healthcare Professionals do not face frivolous law suits.
3. All Healthcare Professionals will have a federal license only so that all disciplinary actions an can be handled swiftly and so that person can’t lose their license in one state and go practice in another her state.
4. All of your medical needs will be covered Health, Dental, Glasses, Chiropractic and Pharmaceuticals.
5. All that is collected for Healthcare program stays in this program it can be invested but not borrowed by the federal government for anything such as has been done to the Social Security program.
6. Price control of services fees and medicine.
7. The money is collected by pay roll deduction or paid at your bank.
All of the American People will be able to participate in this program right now and will not have to wait to be covered over a period of years or face a $250,000 dollar fine or 5 years in prison I feel that I have a good starting point to help fix the Health Care problems that we are facing and with the people’s help we can resolve this problem.
Do you really think that there have been no homosexuals that have served in the military? The only thing is they were in the closet but now they want out. And they will have to deal with it.
Question number 9 is a joke do you think someone is going to tell you that they are or are not a citizen I think this is more on my thoughts on immigration and immigrants legal and illegal..
1) The U.S. is running a $1.4 trillion deficit this year and has a national debt of nearly $12 trillion. What is your prescription to return to a balanced budget? Do you support or oppose extending federal tax cuts that are due to expire in2010? What priorities would you set for spending cuts? Please be specific.
My prescription for the deficit and national debt is to fix Healthcare and Social Security because these are the biggest expenses that our government entities Federal, State, County and cities have - healthcare and retirement cost for its employees and this also holds true for the private sector. I have a plan for healthcare and social security that is paid for by those who use it, not the taxpayer or the private sector. Everyone participates in these programs; there is no separate one for government employees.
It could possibly save approximately 1/3 of the budget for our government entities and private sector.
I oppose extending the federal tax cuts that are due to expire in 2010.
The priorities that I would set for spending cuts is to cut the pork out of the budget. No more bridges to nowhere or thousand dollars hammers or toilet seats.
2) Congress is debating reform of the U.S. health care system. What specific steps should the U.S. take to improve health care access and delivery? Do you support a government-sponsored health insurance plan? How can the U.S. curb the growth in health care spending?
The America People will be able participate in these programs, and will be covered by this plan. That is why I feel that I have a good starting point and will be looking towards the people to help me resolve this issue.
3) What changes in revenue and benefits do you support to keep Medicare and
Social Security solvent?
You have to be reminded that you pay for your Medicare and Social Security by a payroll tax and that your employer matches your contributions IT IS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM but one that you have worked hard for and sweated for and given your blood for. It is only called an entitlement program because some of our past leaders took the money that you put into these programs out of them to spend on other government programs this money was taken without our permission and now the government cannot afford to pay it back so now our leaders want to call social security and Medicare an entitlement program. Now it is your responsibility to tell your elected officials that these programs are not entitlements but one that you paid.
My plan is not paid for by the Government. It is paid by those you need to use it. My plan outlines as follows:
1. Every one puts $25.00 dollars a week into an account that is theirs and it pays for a bond that matures every seven years and rolls over to the next amount. This goes as follows:
· end of 7 years $50.00
· end of 14 years $100
· end of 21 years $200
· end of 28 years $400
· end of 35 years $800
· end of 42 years $1,600 weekly is what you get.
2. When you pass on the money in your account goes to your beneficiary.
3. This money will collect by payroll deduction or at your bank.
Again I feel that I have a good starting point to it and with the people’s help we can resolve this problem.
4) What are your views on the U.S. military campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq? Should the U.S. change the focus of its antiterrorism campaign?
I do not believe that we should have gone into Iraq or Afghanistan as a military campaign but rather after 9-11 we should have used our military special forces to make precise strikes against Osama Bin laden and his Taliban no matter where they are hiding and to bring them to justice.
Yes we should change our focus on our antiterrorism campaign to precise military strikes against it. Our military is there to fight wars and win them. It is sad that our elected officials believe that they are the moral conscience of the world and use our military to be the world’s police force.
5) Should the Guantanamo Bay detention facility be closed? If so, where should the detainees be transferred? Should the inmates be tried by military commissions or civilian courts?
The Guantanamo Bay detention facility should be left open to house detainees. The only reason to move them to the U.S. is to relieve overcrowding or medical reasons.
We must decide what the detainees are since we are saying that we are at war, are they POWs and if they are, and if we want to put them on trial it has to be done by a military commission. If they are combatants and are civilian and commit crimes against us the American people, then they must be tried in civilian court. Personally I believe them to be POWs.
The big question here is if we are not going to put a detainee on trail and he is not a major player, just when do we send him home or do we send home?
6) Some provisions of the Patriot Act will expire at the end of this year, including ones allowing roving wiretaps and subpoenas of medical, business and library records without informing the person being investigated. Should these provisions be renewed, and if so, should Congress put tighter restrictions on their use?
Our military men and women are fighting to preserve our rights and freedoms and to protect us from terrorism. To me, the Patriot Act provisions that expire at the end of this year goes against the very grain that our men and women of the military are fighting to preserve and should not be renewed. For our elected officials to take these rights and freedoms away from us under the disguise of patriotism and the fight on terrorism is just morally and constitutionally wrong.
7) What specific changes would you make to financial oversight of banks and financial institutions in the U.S. so that no single large entity could pose a systemic risk to the economy? Would you like to see more or less power given to the Federal Reserve Board? Would you favor a new federal regulator to oversee financial products sold to consumers?
First, I believe that it is not our government's job to raise you; however it is our elected and appointed official’s job to make sure that the American people are not taken advantage of by unscrupulous business practices by any company or any corporations.
Secondly, I believe that the trouble with the housing market started with the banks and financial institutions convincing and promising the people that if they take out a loan for their house to make it easy for them and to help out there credit the loan will start out as a ARM the payments will be reasonable for two years and if they made their payments on time the bank or financial institution would give them a fixed loan before the ARM rate would increase to almost double what it started as. But when it became time to give them the fixed rate loan the banks and financial institutions refused to do so and most of these people lost their homes and this stated the housing market problems.
Yes I would set up a Federal Financial Regulator Commission made up of a member from the Federal Reserve Board, Treasury Department, Consumer Affairs and the U.S. Attorney General Office, Securities and Exchange Commission, to oversee banks, financial institutions such as loan companies, payday loan companies, rent-to-own companies, pay here and drive auto companies, Insurance companies and any investment company.
8) During the depths of the economic crisis, the U.S. government inserted itself in the private sector to a degree not seen since the 1930s. Does the level of government involvement in the private sector concern you? If so, how would you extricate the government? Do you believe the government should regulate executive pay in the private sector?
I am deeply concerned about the level of involvement that our government has inserted itself in to the private sector by deciding which financial institutions to close and sell off and which ones to keep and the same in the auto industry. How do we get back all the taxpayer money that was and still is being invested in the private sector?
I feel it is the responsibility of our elected officials to make sure that all the money is paid back and that the taxpayer does not lose one dime of their money.
I am not in favor of government telling the private sector what it can pay its executive pay and benefits, but if that company takes any type of federal money or tax credits then our government has a duty to us, the taxpayer, to make sure the money is not being misappropriated.
9) Should a vacancy in the U.S. Senate be filled through appointment by the
governor or through direct election by voters?
The Illinois Constitution already addresses this issue. It is filled by the governor. It was lack of confidence and respect in our x-governor after we the people found out about his indictment on criminal charges and the fanning of the flames by some of our elected state officials that has led to this question and it is not limited to just the U.S. Senator, but to all appointments that the governor would make. I believe that the people of Illinois should let their elected state representatives know what they want and if they want to elect all vacancies that would be filled by the governor then so be it. But what about the cost of such an election or do we leave that position open till the next election? That will have to be answered. Personally, I would leave it the way it is.
10) The Obama administration has committed $4.35 billion for education reform through its Race to the Top program. It’s not clear yet if Illinois will qualify for this money. Please give us your views on how to improve public education in the U.S. and in this state. Do you support performance pay for teachers? Charter schools?
If we qualify for the Race to the Top program and it is in our best interest to participate in it then we should apply for it.
To improve our public education system in America I would bring back the "three Rs": Reading, writing and arithmetic. Make sure the student knows how to complete their assignments with and without the use of computers. Make sure the child learns the subject and that we do whatever it takes so the child can learn the subject and that we do not pass the child on just because they had a good attendance record or we do not want to leave a child behind. I would give all teachers a proficiency exam on the subjects that they are teaching their students; the test will be the same one as their students would have to take to make sure that teacher knows the subject they are teaching their students. All students must know that, yes, we will give them a free education but they must also know that they must earn it by maintaining a passing grade and must conform to attendance requirements and behavior standards. Also in order for a student to pass high school they must pass a GED test; the GED exam is set on a 10th grade level. And we as parents must let our children know that we will be just as proud of them if they choose a vocational education over an academic education.
I do not support performance pay for teachers: there are too many ways to cheat on this type of system, i.e.: by just teaching the students the test or by the teacher being a good friend of the administrator.
My take on Charter schools is that there are good ones and bad ones just like in public schools and if the student's parents want to send their child to a Charter school they should have that right.
11) In an essay of no more than 500 words, please explain your qualifications and goals for this office.
People are going to say, "what experience do you have for this job?" I say that the only person with experience for this job is the one doing it now and that every election year we the people decide how well that person is doing the job. I am running for the 17th district U.S. Congress from the State of Illinois so that I might put common sense back into our government and have a government of the people, for the people and by the people instead of by the pact groups and special interest groups.
Look back the last twenty to thirty years and see how our professional politicians with all their so called qualifications and education have run our government and what they have done for us: nothing but sell us out to pacts and special interest groups and to party politics. They have put a for sale sign on their office door and have told the American voters who elected them that they will do our thinking for us - that we are incapable of thinking for ourselves and that they might want your vote but they do not need your opinion and that party patrician politics is what we need and that one party is better than the other.
It is time to elect a person that will do what the people tell them to do, not what the pacts and special interest groups or the party wants us to do.
A person, who when asked what is wrong with this country, doesn’t start by bringing up religion and patriotism or party politics but that says what they believe is wrong and how to fix it. One that has hopes and dreams for this nation and wants the people's help and opinions in fixing the problems such as healthcare, social security, the environment and political reform, who makes sense and shows integrity and morals.
I want you, the voter, to think about this when you say my vote will be wasted on you - you have no experience and your party is new and small. There was another man from Illinois told the same thing. His name was Abraham Lincoln. Also I want you to look back at our elected officials and our government over the past twenty years or so and see what the two party system has done for us and are you really happy with it or are you left with the feeling that we deserved better and need better.
1. In its 1973 rulings in Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton, the U.S. Supreme Court created a
constitutional "right to abortion" which invalidated the abortion laws in all 50 states giving us-a- - -
policy of abortion on demand whereby a woman may obtain an abortion for any reason through
the entire nine months of pregnancy.
One way to restore legal rights to the unborn is to amend the U.S. Constitution to establish
personhood for all human beings, including the unborn. Would you support an amendment that
would prohibit abortion, except where necessary to save the life of the mother as long as every
reasonable effort is made to preserve the life of both mother and child?
[ ] YES NO[x]
2. If Roe v. Wade were overturned, would you support legislation that would prohibit abortion,
except where necessary to save the life of the mother as long as every reasonable effort is made
to preserve the life of both mother and child?
YES [x ] NO[ ]
3. All unborn children are deserving of protection regardless of their health, sex or
circumstances of conception. Legal exceptions for fetal deformity, rape or incest deprive
innocent unborn children of their civil lights. Would you support legislation that protects these
vulnerable children as well as oppose attempts to deny them their right to life?
[ ] YES NO[x]
4. Prohibiting national tax dollars for abortion is consistent with efforts to restore legal
protection to the unborn child. The following questions deal with the use of Federal funds (tax
dollars) for abortions:
a) Would you be willing to vote against Federal funding of abortion except where
necessary to save the life of the mother as long as every reasonable effort is made to
preserve both the life of the mother and child?
[ ] YES NO[X]
Would you oppose any efforts to include Federally funded abortion in national health
care plans?
[ ] YES NO[X]
c) Would you support efforts to specifically exclude Federally funded abortion in national
health care plans?
[ ] YES NO[X]
d) Would you oppose efforts to include Federally funded abortion in any Medicaid reform bill?
[ ]YES NO[X]
5. Would you oppose legislation which would allow spending tax dollars for research using
human embryonic stem cells? (see stem cell/human cloning fact sheet enclosed)
YES [X] NO[ ]
6. Would you support legislation to prohibit medical/scientific human cloning activities that
create a human embryo for any purpose, including therapeutic or reproductive purposes? (see
stem cell/human cloning fact sheet enclosed)
YES [ ] NO[X]
7. Assault or malicious crimes upon a pregnant woman will occasionally result in the injury or
death of her unborn child. Would you support legislation to establish additional criminal
penalties for any person who causes injury or death to an unborn child in these cases?
YES [X] NO[ ]
8. Planned Parenthood is presently one of the foremost abortion advocates and providers
nationally and internationally. Would you support all efforts to eliminate tax funds for any such
organizations and institutions which perform, promote, counselor refer for abortion?
[ ] YES NO [X]
9. Decisions to bring about the death of patients are now being made on the basis of age, mental
capacity or perceived "quality of life." Euthanasia (an action or omission which of itself or by
intention results in death) and assisted suicide have been used as "treatments" for mental and
physical illness.
a) Would you oppose legislation, or Federal funding for a program, which promotes
euthanasia and assisted suicide?
[ ] YES NO[X]
b) Would you support legislation prohibiting the use of federally controlled substances by
physicians to facilitate euthanasia or assisted suicide?
[ ] YES NO [X]
10. Would you support legislation requiring parental notification before abortions are performed
on minors?
[ ] YES NO[X]
11. Would you support legislation requiring parental consent before abortions are performed on
minors?
[ ] YES NO[X]
12. Would you support legislation requiring that physicians provide information on the
development of the unborn child, alternatives to abortion, and medical risks of abortion before an
abortion is performed?
[X]YES NO [ ]
13. Would you oppose any Federal Healthcare Plan which includes abortion coverage?
[ ] YES NO [X]
14. The powers of the presidency include the right to veto legislation. Would you?
a) Vote to override a presidential veto of pro-life legislation?
[ ] YES NO [X]
b) Vote to sustain a presidential veto of legislation which contained life-threatening
provisions, including abortion, euthanasia and assisted suicide?
[X]YES NO [ ]
I want to start by thanking you for sending me the survey and allowing me the opportunity of answering
your questions but I believe that some of the questions deserve more than just a yes or no answer. I
would like to explain my answers more fully as follows
ABORTION
Personally, I have a problem about this issue when people say, II God says." God also gave us a choice to
be a saint or sinner and he gave us free will. Who are we to pass laws in the name of God, to take that
God given right from you? Are we better or smarter than GOD? For those who say that the U.S.Constitution says separation of church and state; that's true but to me there are two parts to this
1.Our government should not choose our religious practices, sect or beliefs.
2. We as individual citizens should not mix our religious beliefs with our political beliefs because
we are not all of the same religion nor do all religions have the same beliefs.
If elected to the U.S House of Representatives I must, regardless of my personal opinions and beliefs,
uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Women should receive information from their doctor on birth control and if they cannot afford it then it
should be given to them in order to help prevent abortions or the need for them.
I want to see that all women seeking an abortion have all the information about abortion and other
opportunities that is open to them before they make their decision.
We need to change our adoption laws so in order to help people who want to adopt and not hinder
them in the process so they get fed up with all the red tape and end up going to another country to
adopt.
ABORTION FUNDING
We must remember that ROE V. WADE also came about because of the poor who could not afford
proper medical care were dying from the subpar care that they received. And since it is legal to receive
an abortion, it must be covered by private sector insurance companies and also government supported
Medicare or Medicaid. If not covered, we would be saying that we do not support the U.S. Constitution
and the rich whom can afford proper medical care can live and that the poor can die.
EUTHANASIA/RIGHT TO DIE WITH RESPECTAND DIGNITY
Such a decision should be made only by the individual and that they have the right to refuse medical
care and medications but they should be given pain medication in order to help their pain.
RATIONING IN NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE
I have a plan for Health Care it is as follows:
First let me say that my plan is not run by the government or paid for by us, the TAXPAYER, or
Corporate America. IT IS PAID FOR BYTHE ONES WHO USE IT.
Secondly we cannot let the insurance companies decide who gets coverage, what type of services they get
And who lives and who dies. Nor can we let our government do the same. We cannot let the
high cost of Health Care bankrupt our families and our Government.
Everyone pays an X amount of dollars per week to be covered per person.
We change the tort laws so Health Care Professionals do not face frivolous law suits.
All Health Care Professionals will have a federal license only so that all disciplinary actions can be
handled swiftly and so that person can't lose their license in one state and go practice in another state.
All of your medical needs will be covered Health, Dental, Glasses, Chiropractic and Pharmaceuticals.
All monies that is collected for Health Care program stays in this program. It can be invested but not borrowed
by the federal government for anything such as has been done to the Social Security program.
Price control on services fees and medicines.
The money is collected by payroll deduction or paid at your bank.
I do not have all the answers to fix this problem but I do believe that I have a good starting point and with
help of other people we can fix this problem.
I would like to finish by leaving you with the following thoughts and reasons why I am running for office.
I believe it is time to bring common sense back to our government. When you ask our leaders what is
wrong with this country they start by bringing up religion and patriotism, or party polities but they do n01
tell you what they believe is wrong with this country and how to fix it. And they seem to have no hopes
and dreams for this country and the people in it. We need someone who knows that their suggestions to
a problem might be a good starting point but it will take the help of all the people to fix the problem.
Sincerely Yours
Roger K. Davis
P.S.This is a question that I have for the leaders of the right to life organization: Ever since ROEV. WADE in 1973 and people started forming right to life groups, you have been funding certain political candidates and parties with no action to help you repeal ROE V. WADE. Why is it you don't use all your resources to put this issue on the ballots of every state so the people can tell our elected officials that we want a constitutional amendment on right to life?
ILLINOIS FEDERATION FOR RIGHT TO LIFE QUESTIONNAIRE
ABORTION
The Illinois Federation for Right to Life (IFRL) believes that unborn children
should be protected by law, and that abortion should be permitted only when necessary to
prevent the death of the mother. Under what circumstances, if any, do you believe that
abortion should be legal?
____ Only to prevent the death of the mother (the IFRL position)
__X__ To prevent the mother's death, in cases of incest, and in reported cases of forcible rape.
PLEASE NOTE: In every question below, a 'yes" response indicates agreement with
the position of the IFRL.
ROE V. WADE
In its 1973 rulings in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton,Jhe U.S. Supreme Court
created a constitutional "right to abortion" for any reason until "viability" (into the sixth
month), and for any "health" reasons - including "emotional" health - even during the
final three months of pregnancy.
1. Do you support the complete reversal of the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton
decisions, thereby allowing the state legislatures and Congress to once again protect
unborn children?
[ ] YES NO[X]
THE PAIN OF UNBORN BABIES
There is now overwhelming scientific evidence that abortion methods used by the fifth month (and perhaps earlier) such as the "dilation and evacuation" (dismemberment) method, and partial-birth abortion method, cause excruciating pain to an unborn child.
2. Would you support legislation to require that any mother considering an
abortion first must be provided with clear and accurate information about the
capacity of an unborn child to feel pain?
[X] YES NO[ ]
3. Would you support legislation to require that any mother considering an
abortion first must be provided with clear and accurate information about possible
alternatives to lessen or avoid pain?
[X] YES NO[ ]
SEX SELECTION
4. Would you support federal legislation to prohibit anyone from advertising
abortions or performing abortions for the purpose of sex selection?
[X]YES NO[ ]
PROTECTION OF HUMAN EMBRYOS
The right to life of human beings must be respected at every stage of their
biological development. Human individuals who are at the embryonic stage of
development should not be used for harmful experimentation. This must apply equally
regardless of whether the human lives were begun by in vitro fertilization, by somatic cell
nuclear transfer (human cloning), or by some other laboratory technique. IFRL opposes
harvesting "stem cells" from living human embryos, since this kills the embryos. Note:
IFRL is NOT opposed to other research on "stem cells" that are obtained without killing
embryos - for example, stem cells harvested from umbilical cord blood and adult tissue.
5. Will you vote for measures to protect living human embryos from being used
for medical experiments that would harm or kill them, including so-called
"embryonic stem cell research" that would require the killing of human embryos,
regardless of the method used to create these human embryos?
[X]YES NO [ ]
6. Would you oppose any legislation that would authorize federal funding of
research for which the killing of human embryos would be a predicate step or
necessary part?
[X]YES NO [ ]
HUMAN CLONING
Human cloning is a process (technically known as "somatic cell nuclear transfer")
in which genetic material from one person is artificially transferred into a human or
animal egg cell, thereby beginning the life of a new human individual who has only one
parent and who is genetically nearly identical to that parent. IFRL believes that human
life at every stage of biological development is deserving of respect and protection
regardless of the circumstances under which the human life was created. It has been
proposed to create human life through cloning for the purpose of destructive experiments
on those humans, resulting in their deaths, a process sometimes referred to as
"therapeutic cloning.
7. Would you support a legal prohibition on all human cloning, including the creation of human embryos by cloning?
[X] YES NO[ ]
As an alternative to a genuine ban on all human cloning, some legislation has
been proposed that allows the creation of human embryos to be used in medical research
(so-called "therapeutic cloning"), but allegedly prevents the implantation of the embryo
in the uterus of a female. These bills are sometimes misleadingly referred to as "bans on
reproductive cloning," but they really do not ban human cloning at all- rather, they ban
the survival of human clones. Such a bill would impose a legal mandate that every clone
must be killed or allowed to die. IFRL strongly oppose such "clone and kill" legislation.
8. Would you oppose legislation that would permit the creation of human
embryos by cloning but in effect require the death of each such embryo (that is,
legislation to "ban reproductive cloning" but simultaneously permit so-called
"therapeutic cloning")?
[X]YES NO [ ]
9. Would you support legislation to require that any recipient of federal
National Institutes of Health funds must not engage in the creation or use of cloned
human embryos?
[X] YES NO [ ]
Using cloned mammals, cloning researchers are actively developing techniques
for "fetus farming." This means that they create a cloned embryo of a given species,
implant that cloned embryo into the uterus of an adult female of that same species, allow
the cloned animal to grow into various stages of fetal development, and then abort the
fetus in order to harvest the desired tissues or organs. For example, in one study
published in 2005, researchers reported implanting cow clones and then aborting the cow
fetuses atfour months into the pregnancy, in order to harvest their living tissue; this was
reported as an advance for "therapeutic cloning."
10. Would you support federal legislation that would prevent "fetus farming" in
humans, by prohibiting establishing a human pregnancy for any purpose other than
intending a live birth?

ABORTION FUNDING
Congress votes from time to time on the "Hyde Amendment," a law that prohibits
federal Medicaid money from being used to pay for abortions or for managed-care plans
that include abortion, except to save the life of the mother, or in cases of rape or incest.
11. Would you vote against the use of taxpayer funds for abortion except to save
the life of the mother?
[ ] YES NO [X]
12. Besides Medicaid, would you vote against weakening the existing bans on the
use of any congressionally appropriated funds for abortion in bills covering the
military, federal employees, the District of Columbia, etc.,with the same exceptions
as the Hyde Amendment?
[X] YES NO [ ]
13. Would you vote against legislation that would allow the performance of
abortions at U.S. Military facilities, even if privately funded (except to save the life
of the mother, or in the case of rape and incest)?
[ ] YES NO [X]
Title X ("Title 10") of the Public Health Service Act provides about $286 million
annually for grants to state and private entities for "family planning" programs. Although
federal law does not permit such funds to be used for abortions, large amounts of Title X
funds go to organizations (such as Planned Parenthood) that own and operate abortion
clinics.
14. Would you support legislation to make organizations that operate abortion
clinics (not bona fide hospitals) ineligible for Title 10 funding?
[ ]YES NO [X]
FOREIGN AID FOR ABORTIONS
The U.S. spends nearly a half-billion dollars annually on family planning/population-control programs in other nations.
15. Would you vote for legislation the requires that in order to be eligible for U.
S. Population-control funds, a private overseas organization must agree not to
perform abortions (except to save the life of the mother, or in cases of rape or incest)
or to "actively promote abortion as a method of family planning?
[ ] YES NO [X]
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) participates in China's
population-control program, which relies heavily on coerced abortion. The UNFP A also
promotes expanded access to abortion in developing nations, and has promoted the
abortion pill, RU-486.
16. Will you vote against U.S. funding of the United Nations Population Fund
(UNFPA)?

PARENTAL NOTIFICATION/CONSENT
FOR MINORS' ABORTIONS
Laws are already in effect in about half the states that require notification or
consent of at least one parent (or authorization by a judge) before an abortion can be
performed on a minor. However, these laws are often circumvented by minors who cross
state lines in order to evade parental involvement requirements (often with the aid of
older boyfriends, abortion clinic staff, or other adults lacking parental authority).
17. Would you vote for legislation that makes it an offense to transport a minor
across state lines to evade a parental involvement requirement?

EUTHANASIA
The pro-life movement has always sought to protect not only the unborn from
abortion, but also vulnerable born, especially older or disabled people, from euthanasia.
We consider rationing of health care, resulting in the denial of life-saving medical
treatment against the will of the patient, to be unacceptable involuntary euthanasia.
The Controlled Substances Act generally prohibits the use of dangerous drugs and
narcotics. An exception to this prohibition is the legal ability of physicians to prescribe
them for what the Drug Enforcement Administration regulations defme as a "legitimate
medical purpose."
18. Would you vote for legislation to clarify that drugs whose use is generally
prohibited under the Controlled Substances Act shall not legally be prescribed or
dispensed to assist suicide or for euthanasia?
[X] YES NO [ ]
19. Will you vote against any bill that imposes any limits on the rights of older
Americans to financially supplement the government contribution in order to obtain
Medicare health insurance or any government plan to obtain coverage that is less
likely to ration medical treatment and prescription drugs?
[ ] YES NO [X]
Medical and ethical journals now frequently carry articles advocating denial of
life-saving medical treatment against the will of a patient or the patient's family if health
care providers or an ethics committee think the patient's quality of life is unacceptable,
even though the patient and family disagree.
20. Will you vote to prevent involuntary denial of lifesaving medical treatment by
amending the Patient Self-Determination Act to provide that in cases in which a
health care provider is unwilling to provide treatment, food or fluids that is desired
by the patient or the patient's surrogate and that in reasonable medical judgment is
necessary to prevent the patient's death, the provider must allow the patient to be
transferred to a willing provider and provide the treat11'lentpending transfer?

RATIONING IN NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE
To "ration" something is to deliberately "restrict" or "withhold" it. We do not have
"rationing" of health care today. No one is forbidden to purchase any kind of health care
or health care insurance that he or she wishes. The bills currently pending in
Washington, D.C. under the Obama administration would lead to rationing of health care.
Today, some people feel that other priorities are more important than lifesaving medical
care in order to cut costs. THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT HAS ALWAYS OPPOSED
EUTHANASIA AS WELL AS ABORTION AND INFANTICIDE. WE REGARD THE
RATIONING OF LIFESAVING MEDICAL TREATMENT AS A FORM OFINVOLUNTARY EUTHANASIA.
21. DO YOU OPPOSE RATIONING OF LIFESAVING MEDICAL TREATMENT AS A MEANS OF COST CONTROL?
[X] YES NO [ ]
22. WOULD YOU OPPOSE ANY PROPOSED HEALTH PLAN THATWOULD USE
TAX PAYER FUNDS TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS?
[ ] YES NO [X]
23. WILL YOU OPPOSE A PROPOSED HEALTH PLAN THAT FORCES AMERICAN
CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN A HEALTH PLAN UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE
FEDERAL GOVERNMENTTHATWOULD RATION HEALTH CARE, PAY FOR
ABORTIONS AND DENY THE INDIVIDUAL THE RIGHT TO PURCHASE AHEALTH PLAN THAT REFLECTS THEIR PERSONAL BELIEFS AND VALUES?
[X] YES NO [ ]
I want to start by thanking you for sending me the survey and allowing me the opportunity of answering
your questions but I believe that some of the questions deserve more than just a yes or no answer. I
would like to explain my answers more fully as follows:
ABORTION
Personally, I have a problem about this issue when people say, II God says." God also gave us a choice to
be a saint or sinner and he gave us free will. Who are we to pass laws in the name of God, to take that
God given right from you? Are we better or smarter than GOD? For those who say that the U.S.
IT IS PAID FOR BYTHE ONESWHO USE IT. Secondly we
cannot let the insurance companies decide who gets coverage, what type of services they get
And who lives and who dies. Nor can we let our government do the same. We cannot let the
high cost of Health Care bankrupt our families and our Government.
1. Everyone pays an X amount of dollars per week to be covered per person.
2. We change the tort laws so Health Care Professionals do not face frivolous law suits.
3. All Health Care Professionals will have a federal license only so that all disciplinary actions can be
handled swiftly and so that person can't lose their license in one state and go practice in another state.
4. All of your medical needs will be covered Health, Dental, Glasses, Chiropractic and Pharmaceuticals.
5. All that is collected for Health Care program stays in this program. It can be invested but not borrower
by the federal government for anything such as has been done to the Social Security program.
6. Price control on services fees and medicines.
7. The money is collected by payroll deduction or paid at your bank.
I do not have all the answers to fix this problem but I do believe that I have a good starting point and witl
help of other people we can fix this problem.
I would like to finish by leaving you with the following thoughts and reasons why I am running for office.
I believe it is time to bring common sense back to our government. When you ask our leaders what is
wrong with this country they start by bringing up religion and patriotism, or party politics but they do not
tell you what they believe is wrong with this country and how to fix it. And they seem to have no hopes
and dreams for this country and the people in it. We need someone who knows that their suggestions to fix
a problem might be a good starting point but it will take the help of all the people to fix the problem.
Sincerely Yours
Roger K. Davis
P.S. This is a question that I have for the leaders of the right to life organization:
Ever since ROEV. WADE in 1973 and people started forming right to life groups, you have been
funding certain political candidates and parties with no action to help you repeal ROE V.
WADE. Why is it you don't use all your resources to put this issue on the ballots of every state so the
people can tell our elected officials that we want a constitutional amendment on right to life?

CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE
Name: Roger K. Davis
Candidate for: U.S. Congress 17th District
City of Residence: Quincy
Education: Graduated Quincy High School and some College
Occupation: Disabled
I am Roger K. Davis and I am running for U.S. Congress – Illinois 17th District. Why I am running for the U.S. Congress? It’s simple: I want to put common sense back into our government and have our government again become a government “of the people, by the people, for the people”, instead of a government of the PACTs, by the Lobbyist and for the special interest groups.
People ask me, "What experience do you have for this job?" Look back over the last twenty to thirty years and see how our professional politicians have run our government, and see that they have done nothing for us but sell us out to PACTs and special interest groups. They have put a for sale sign on their office door and have told the American voters who elected them that they will do our thinking for us, as if we are incapable of thinking for ourselves, and that party patrician politics is what we need and that one party is better than the other.
I say it is time to elect a person who will do what the people want them to do; a person who will take the for sale sign off the office door and will tell the PACTs and special interest groups or the party that they are here to represent the people. A person, who when asked what is wrong with this country doesn’t start by bringing up religion or patriotism or party politics but will actually say what he believes is wrong and how to fix it. A person who has hopes and dreams for the future of this nation and its people. A person that cares just as much for the rural areas as well as the larger cities and agricultural areas as well as industrial areas.
In my opinion, the five major problems that our country is facing at this time are as follows:
1.Economy: Create Jobs and bring Jobs back to America, saving people’s homes from foreclosure.
2.Health Care: We need a National Health Insurance program.
3.Social Security: We need to fix this program so one can retire at a reasonable age and live above the poverty level.
4.Environmental: We need to stop the pollution of our air, water and soil. We need to look at cleaner, cost effective, renewable energy sources.
5.Political Reform: Term limits, No lobbying by or taking campaign contributions from any PACTs, Lobbyists or Special Interest Groups. All Judges will be chosen by a lottery and have term limits.
1. What are your ideas on how to reduce the spending in Washington? Cut out the Pork. Line item veto for the President. One items per bill no piggy backing of bills and a balanced budget when possible.
Would you favor legislation that caps federal spending or ties spending to a percent of GDP? No. Sometimes you must spend more than the Gross Domestic Product in order to keep the economy going and sometimes you must spend less each time you have a spending bill you must look at the economy and how it is doing and what affect it will have on the economy and jobs.
2. What are the positive aspects of our healthcare system today that set it apart from the systems employed by other countries? The technology of our Health Care system it the biggest and most positive aspect of it.
HEALTH CARE
First let me say that my plan is not government ran or paid for by us, the TAXPAYER, or corporate America. IT IS PAID FOR BY THE ONES WHO USE IT. And secondly we cannot let the insurance companies decide who gets coverage, what type of services they get and who lives and who dies. Nor can we let our government do the same. And we cannot let the high cost of Health Care bankrupt our families and our Government.
1. Everyone pays X amount of dollars a week to be covered per person.
2. We change the tort laws so Health Care Professionals do not face frivolous law suits.
3. All Health Care Professionals will have a federal license only so that all disciplinary actions can be handled swiftly and so that person can’t lose their license in one state and go practice in another state.
4. All of your medical needs will be covered Health, Dental, Glasses, Chiropractic and Pharmaceuticals.
5. All that is collected for Health Care program stays in this program it can be invested but not borrowed by the federal government for anything such as has been done to the Social Security program.
6. Price control of services fees and medicine.
What are the major problems with our healthcare system today and what are the solutions to those problems? What we need is National Health Care Insurance coverage for all of the people. We need to take party politics out of it and come up with a plan that makes sense and is good for the people. I do have a plan for Health Care and it is a good starting point to help fix the problem but this can’t be done by one party or person we all will have to work together to fix it this means our elected officials will have to listen to the people not the PACTS or Special Interest Groups. The following is my plan.7. 7. Money can be paid by payroll deduction or you can pay at your bank.
3. How do you suggest we reduce our energy dependence on foreign countries? First alternative fuels such as Ethanol and Biodiesel. Secondly by alternative sources wind, water and air we need to use this technology when it is cost effective and makes good sense to use it.
Do you support more oil exploration and drilling. Only if it can be done by not having a negative impact on our environment.
Or nuclear power in the US? I do not like Nuclear Power I think it is to unsafe and we have problems disposing the spent fuel rods and if they fall into the wrong hands the security off our Nation and World is at jeopardy.
4. Do you give any credence to the August 2009 Climate Feedback Article by Drs. Lindzen and Choi from MIT and the e-mails from scientists at the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit or do you believe the science is “settled”? Please Explain. I truly do not know it has been said that there is Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics. I do know that the weather we are experiencing today is different than when I was a kid it seems to me that everything goes in a cycle.
Do you support increased taxes and/or penalties on American citizens and businesses due to the perceived affects of the increased levels of CO2 on the environment? No I do not nor do I support the Cap and Trade Bill. You cannot let someone that pollutes the environment get by with buying credits from someone that does not pollute the environment. We must take care of our environment in order to pass it on to our children grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are those that do not care about the environment or what condition this World is in when we pass it on as long as they make a buck these are the people we need to go after.
5. Do you believe amnesty should be granted to those already here or should they move to the back of the line behind those who came here legally? Yes I believe that amnesty should be granted to those that are here now but only after they pass a security check and the written test for citizenship.
How would you like to see our immigration issues resolved? Certain people want to tell you that what is wrong with this country is caused by illegal immigrants; that is because they do not know what is wrong with this country or how to sell you on their solutions to fix
The problem. We must not forget that America is a nation of immigrants and that all of our forefathers have immigrated to this nation from many other countries seeking their fortune and freedom. I ask you to put yourself in their shoes. If you had no job and your family was starving or one of your family members needed life saving medical attention and all you had to do was cross a boarder wouldn't you do it? I would. What we need to do is fix our immigration department so that people are properly screened and helped to get to this country without risking their life or the lives of their loved ones.
6. Whether a Democratic majority or a Republican majority, large spending bills which may not have passed if they stood alone, have been attached to more favorable, yet unrelated legislation. Do you believe this is an acceptable practice, or should all legislation be debated and voted on independently based on its own costs and merit or at least grouped with related bills? Please explain. There needs to be a bill passed outlawing piggy backing of bills all bills should stand by their self and be debated for what good it will do or not do.
7. Will you read EVERY bill in full before you cast your vote? It depends on the length of the bill.
Will you vote against any legislation you have either not read or do not fully understand and refuse to rely upon other people (who were not elected by Illinoisans) to tell you what each bill contains or how you should vote? There will be times that I will have to depend on my staff to inform me on the meaning of a bill and what it is designed to do and if it does what it is supposed to do and I will inform the people of my district about the bill and my stance on it and I will do what the majority of the people from my district want.
8. Do you believe the 2nd amendment guarantees the right of law-abiding citizens to own guns? Yes let’s look at the 2nd Amendment Why or why not?
Amendment II (2): Right to bear arms
a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
All you have to do is read the 2nd amendment it says that the security for a free state depends on a Militia and in order for this to happen the residents must have the right to keep and bear Arms and that this right should not be infringed upon. Let’s look at the part of your question that says law-abiding citizens who are the law-abiding citizens it doesn’t say this is a bill of goods sold to you that in order to fight crime we need the guns that’s not right the economy and street gangs have more effect on crime than the ownership of gun’s and if someone does a crime and they have done their time they should get all their constitutional rights back. Under the rules now there are police officers and military personal that cannot bear arms.
There is nothing that prohibits the government from micro stamping ammo and doing ballistics test on all guns or requiring you to register as a gun owner and what guns you have.
9. Do you believe it is right for taxpayer dollars to fund practices, which many taxpayers find morally offensive? YES
Why or why not? We do not all have the same moral believes so there for as long as what the money is being spent for was legally approved our elected government officials and it is deemed to be Constitutional so be it.
10. Do you support term limits? YES
Name three ways you would like to see used to restrict the influence of Lobbyists/Special Interests.
1. No lobbying by any PACTs, Lobbyists or Special Interest Groups.
2. No campaign or any type of contributions or gifts from PACTS, Lobbyists or Special Interest Groups.
3. These rules will be enforced on all elected or appointed officials and also on our Judiciary plus all of our judges will be chosen by a lottery system.
11. Do you support a law that would require constitutional justification for every bill in the actual bill? YES. Not only for bills that will go into law but also Presidential executive orders and each governmental department have their own rules and regulations this all need to be found to be constitutional before they can go into effect. Also all governmental entities should have to comply with all rules and laws passed they shouldn’t be allowed to except themselves from the laws.
12. What experience and qualifications do you possess that makes you the best choice for this position? To me when your opponent starts talking about experience and qualifications it’s all smoke and mirrors what they are really saying is that they got this education and have done this or that and it is all about what they have done not about what dreams and hopes that they have for this district and this nation and the American people, and they can tell you what problems we as a nation are facing at this time but again they have no solution to fix these problems.
The following is a list of problems that we are facing Economy, Health Care, Social Security, and Environmental. I have already showed you my Health Care plan here is my plan for Social Security
1. Every one puts $25.00 dollars a week into an account that is there's and it pays for a bond that matures every seven years and rolls over to the next amount like so.
At the end of 7 years $50.00
At the end of 14 years $100
At the end of 21 years $200
At the end of 28 years $400
At the end of 35 years $800
And at the end of 42 years $1,600 weekly is what you get.
2. You will always pay in $25.00 weekly.
3. When you pass on the money in your account goes to your beneficiary.
EVERY ONE WILL PARTICIPATE IN THESE PROGRAMS AND BE COVERED BY THEM THERE WILL BE NO OTHER PROGRAM FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES
I have mentioned my environmental plan this leaves me with my Economy plan and that is to tie it into fixing Health Care and Social Security to lower the cost of doing business on the employer and it will benefit the employee also. Also if we retire those ages 50 and up with $800 weekly this will open up jobs and will give them time to pay for their own retirement.
Stop giving tax breaks to corporate America to move jobs out of this country.
Stop worrying about the World economy and start worrying the American economy bring are jobs back it is not about World economy it is about corporate greed cheaper labor, no EPA or workers rights or unions to deal with now we cannot force corporate America to bring the jobs back but we can put an import tax on their products to equal the cost of it being made here and give that to the employees that have lost their jobs and also none of these products should not be allowed into this country without a product safety test on all of the items’ allowed into this country.
What makes be the best choice is my suggestions to fix the problems that we are facing and wanting your help to fix the problems because I know it will take all the help that we can get and that just one person doesn’t have all the answers’ to fix a problem but they might have a good starting point, also it seems to me that all of our elected officials want your vote but not your opinion they will do all your thinking for you and will let you know what is wrong and how to fix it when their Party or PACTs or Lobbyist or Special Interest Groups tells them what is wrong and how to fix it regardless of what the people think or want.
What do you believe is the primary responsibility of the office you are seeking? To up hold the Constitution of the United States and to not let anyone try and take these rights from you, and to up hold the principles of the Declaration of Independence as to being a government of the people for the people and by the people by informing the people what is going on and what bills are being looked at and inform them of your opinion but doing what the majority of the people tell you to do not what the Parties’ or PACT’s or Lobbyist and Special Interest Groups want you to do.
